Activities overview for 2024

The CIVINET Slovenia-Croatia-SEE Network has been actively promoting sustainable urban mobility in small and medium-sized cities throughout 2024 through a series of capacity-building initiatives, events and international cooperation.. With a focus on climate neutrality, mobility solutions, and citizen engagement, the network brings together local authorities, experts, and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, best practices, and innovative strategies for creating more sustainable, connected, and climate-friendly urban environments. . . .

9th CIVINET FORUM: International Conference on Public Transport Held in Split

On October 10th and 11th, 2024 the city of Split hosted an international conference dedicated to public transport and sustainable mobility. This conference brought together over 100 participants from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Ukraine, and the Netherlands, including representatives from cities, public companies, academia, ministries, associations, and transport experts. In total 22 speakers enriched discussions on public transport, sustainable mobility, and climate neutrality with their expertise and experience. . . .

About the Renaissance of Sustainable Mobility from the CIVITAS Forum 2024 in Parma

The CIVITAS Forum 2024 took place from October 1st to 3rd in Parma. Main topic of the conference was "Join the Mobility Renaissance." Over the three days of workshops, interactive panel discussions, and lectures, knowledge and best practices were exchanged among representatives of national, regional, and local authorities, civil society organizations, academia, mobility experts, and the business sector. Members of the CIVINET Slo-Cro-SEE network from Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina also participated, some actively contributing through presentations and panel discussions. . . .

Network guidelines for 2024

The Policy Committee proudly highlights the 10-year anniversary of the successful operation of the Network, which has established itself as the largest, most active and most successful of all CIVINET networks. The anniversary was marked by a very successful three-day meeting in Ljubljana. We would like to thank the City of Ljubljana for the excellent hosting and contribution in organizing the central meeting of the Network in 2023, which was attended by over 150 participants. . . .

CIVINET Slovenia - Croatia - South East Europe

Network of cities and other stakeholders involved in sustainable mobility planning and management in Slovenia and Croatia, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. The aim of the network is to transfer knowledge and good practice and to design joint projects that will finance future activities of sustainable transport and better mobility. The network was established in Ljubljana on April 25, 2013 as the CIVINET Slovenia-Croatia network. By the decision of the Assembly, the network was renamed CIVINET Slovenia-Croatia-Southeast Europe on February 10, 2016. . . .
